Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Requests for home visits should be made as soon as possible after 8.00am and before 10.00am. Only those medically unable to travel can be seen at home in order that we are able to provide care for all.

Four patients can be seen in the surgery in the time taken for one visit, hence we see all children at the surgery.

The duty doctor may telephone before visiting in order to prioritise visit requests.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
