The surgery will be closed in the afternoon from 1pm for staff training on the below dates:

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Walk-in Centre

The Folkestone NHS walk-in centre offers a range of health services for the local population - from a minor illness to a minor injury. The centre can treat the following:

  • Nose bleeds
  • Minor cuts and bites
  • Burns and scalds
  • Infections including abscesses
  • Foreign bodies in wounds, ears and noses
  • Muscular sprains and strains to shoulders, arms and legs
  • Fractures to shoulders, arms and legs
  • Dislocations of fingers, thumbs and toes
  • Minor chest, neck and back injuries
  • Minor eye conditions including conjunctivitis and foreign bodies
  • Minor head injuries with no loss of consciousness
  • Minor allergic reactions
  • Minor ailments such as coughs, colds, flu symptoms, sore throat, earache, urinary tract infections and sinusitis.
  • Emergency contraception

No appointment necessary.

Anyone needing confidential emotional support can call the Mental Health Matters helpline on 0800 107 0160, 24 hours a day.

DentaLine

Anyone needing emergency dental treatment during the bank holiday weekend should phone DentaLine on 01634 890300 

Monday to Friday - 6pm to 11pm

Saturday and Sunday (including bank holidays) – 8:30am to 1:30pm & 6pm to 11pm

GP Extended Hours

We offer appointments from 8:15am to 6:30pm.

We are also able to offer appointments based at the Hub at the Royal Victoria Hospital who will see patients from 8am to 8pm for minor illness seven days a week. This is NOT the Minor Injuries Clinic, which is run separately.

If you call 111 during out of hours, they will also be able to book a Hub appointment for you, they also have appointments available to pre-book at the surgery.
